Case Study: Aluminium Windows And Bifold Doors In Reading

Another month has gone by which means it’s time for a new case study! We didn’t have to go very far for this one; we worked on a project that involved new aluminium windows and bifold doors at a home in Reading. Alongside our partners at Abbey Windows, we helped give this home a makeover and as you can see, the results are incredible.

Origin Bifold Doors

This homeowner wanted to increase the amount of light in their home. They had a wide interior living space which was very attractive, but could occasionally get a bit dark. We discussed their needs and ideas in depth, and they decided that a new set of bifold doors were just the thing. They chose OB-72 Corner Bi-folding Doors and transformed their house.

Our Origin bifold doors have exceptionally large glazing areas, so even with the doors closed, the room would be bathed in natural light. This gave the house a very warm and inviting atmosphere, as well as some glorious views of their back garden. As they were made with aluminium and fitted with double glazing, they were also inherently strong and resilient. There is a misconception that bifold doors aren’t as secure as other types, but you can rely on them to protect against severe weather conditions and unwanted intruders alike. They’re also easy to use and have an elegant aesthetic.

High-Quality Aluminium Windows

The project didn’t stop with the doors. This customer was also interested in replacing some of their existing windows, which were starting to show their age. They were impressed with how stylish and resilient our Origin aluminium products were, so asked us to install several OW-80 casement windows across the property.

Just like the doors, these windows are reliably tough and long-lasting. They’re thermally efficient too and engineered to reduce heat loss as much as possible. They’ll help the property stay warm and cosy in the winter, but they’ll also keep things cool in the summer. Because aluminium is comparatively light, it puts less strain on the structure of the house and allows us to use slimmer sightlines. This makes for attractive, modern-looking windows and better views of the outside world. They’re also highly customisable, and there’s a wide range of colours and sizes available.

It was a pleasure working on this project and we think all the hard work paid off. Our customer was extremely happy with the final results, and watching them try out their new bifold doors for the first time was very rewarding.

This is just one example of the ways that Origin bifold doors and windows can transform a home. If you have any building projects lined up that you think will benefit from our exceptional aluminium products, get in touch today.
